WHAT TO EAT

SOUP OF PORCINI MUSHROOMS

Soup of porcini mushrooms, chestnuts and beans soup is a dish linked to the Concana tradition as it is typically rural and prepared with the products offered by our land. The dish is typically autumn as it is the season in which the territory offers delicious chestnuts and precious porcini mushrooms. A mixture of sublime flavors to taste the frugality of Conca della Campania and immerse yourself in the past.

CICERI E TAGLIARIEGLI

Ciceri e tagliariegli is a dish linked mainly to the peasant tradition. Tagliariegli are a type of strictly homemade pasta halfway between fettuccine and spaghetti. Their perfection is the imperfection of being cut by hand. The dish is served with sauce, strictly homemade, as if it were a soup.

A N’SALATA RI SCUGNATURI

A nsalata re scugnaturi (reapers' salad) is a typically summery dish as it was the food that the peasants brought to the countryside in harvest time. It is, in fact, a salad made from vegetables typical of the season and of the territory: potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, celery and apples. Fresh, with lively flavors and simple to prepare.

TO SEE

MUSEUM OF RURAL LIFE

The Museum of Farming Civilisation and the Farmer's House are a leap into the past to discover the ancient crafts and tools used. The museum contains around 500 exhibits housed in an arcade that used to be a stable. The farmer's house is located a little further on and is furnished with the humble and simple wooden furniture that used to be the only furnishings and which in the house are as original as they were left.

THE WATERFALLS AND THE CASTLE

Conca della Campania is a real discovery. Every corner deserves to be visited and discovered.
