The Virgin welcomes on her lap a naked, blessing Baby Jesus, lying in Mother's arms. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe tabernacle consists of a quadrangular chamber with a lowered-arched top that houses the fresco. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe street owes its name to the dried panicum plant, a grass called precisely \"panicale\" in Florence, and it reflects the ancient connection of the inhabitants with nature and agricultural work. In ancient times it was also called \u201cvia de' Maccheroni\u201d and \u201cborgo Panicale\u201d.
