\n\t\t\t\t\t\tAt about 165 metres above sea level, the Church of the Madonna degli Angeli stands on Mount Ornato, a small religious building overlooking the city of Savona. It was built at the end of the 16th century by the Capuchin friar Giovanni Ambrogio Pavese, a member of an important local family. Wishing to lead a hermitic life, Pavese constructed the church and several adjacent cells as a place of spiritual retreat.\nOver the centuries, the building experienced periods of neglect and decay until it was rebuilt in 1930. Despite subsequent restorations and protective efforts, it remains in a state of disrepair. In 2012, it was included among the FAI's \"Places of the Heart,\" a testament to the community's desire to preserve and promote this historical and spiritual heritage.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
