Established on February 1, 1888, during the Austro-Hungarian occupation, the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the oldest museum in the country. Located in Sarajevo, this magnificent structure was designed by architect Karlo Par\u017eik.<\/p>\n

The museum comprises four distinct pavilions connected by terraces, encompassing an inner atrium that houses a botanical garden. This neo-Renaissance masterpiece is unique in Southeast Europe, specifically built to serve as a museum.<\/p>\n

The museum’s most prized possession is the renowned Sarajevo Haggadah, a historic Jewish text brought to Sarajevo by Sephardic Jews following their expulsion from Spain.<\/p>\n
